  Job Description:

  We are seeking a compassionate and experienced home nurse to provide care for an elderly woman with early stages of dementia.   The ideal candidate will have a background in geriatric care and experience working with dementia patients.  The nurse will be responsible for providing daily care and support to the patient in her home environment.

  Key responsibilities:

  • Administering medication as prescribed by the patient’s physician
  • Assisting with activities of daily living, such as dressing and grooming
  • Monitoring the patient’s vital signs and reporting any changes to the physician
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with light housekeeping
  • Communicating with the patient’s family and physician and ensuring continuity of care
  • Documenting patient care and progress
  • Provide any other personal assistance as needed

  Skills

  Qualification:

  • Preferred registered nurse or licensed practical nurse 
  • Experience working with dementia patients and geriatric care
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care protocols and best practices

  This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. The nurse will be responsible for providing care for the patient in her home.  A valid driver’s license is preferred.
